The Ideal Christmas Decor for Your Zodiac Sign 🎄

“A dynamic decor!”

With Mars as your planet, you don't even ask yourself the question: it will be red. Good timing: it's THE color of Christmas… and yours. Garlands, baubles, stockings, table runner: go all in on red. For the table, steel cutlery, sturdy and gleaming like your energy, and holly hung on the metal chandelier. If you have a fireplace, light it: a nod to your element, Fire.

My tip: dare a touch of burgundy, this winter's star color. It will tone down the fire-engine red a little without dimming your flame.

“A generous decor!”

For you, Christmas is a family celebration that should last as long as possible, and nothing can be missing. You never do things by halves: scatter fir branches all around; they decorate, they bring back the Christmas spirit and they make the house smell wonderful. Venus whispers to add some copper, which goes beautifully with wood.

My tip: go for natural materials, raw wood, linen, wool: it's the big trend of the winter, and your Earth sign saw it coming long before everyone else.

“A creative decor!”

It's not easy to throw a big party when you're a double sign, but your boundless imagination saves the day. Go for silver tones (thank you, Mercury), iridescent and bluish, which evoke Air and lightness. Champagne sparkles in pretty flutes next to modern tableware, and every corner of the room tells a different little story.

My tip: change the table decor between Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch. Two atmospheres for the price of one: you can't sit still anyway.

“A spotless decor!”

True to your sensitive side, you turn your home into a cosy nest. Soft materials, cotton, wool, throws: everything comes in white and pearl grey, the colors of the Moon, your planet. Wrapped gifts, round boxes, marshmallows, chocolates and homemade cakes are everywhere, and the tableware stays classic, the set you bring out for big family occasions.

My tip: add candles (flameless ones if the kids are running around). Soft light, and your cocoon becomes the whole family's favorite hideaway.

“A dazzling decor!”

You love everything that shines, and you don't hide it. Gold accents are your best friends, and the Sun, your planet, lets you go overboard on light. Your tree and your table sparkle with a thousand lights to wow your guests: you love hosting, and you love being complimented. Your table will of course be sumptuous.

My tip: a big golden bow on top of the tree instead of the star: it's this winter's trend, and it's regal. You're the royalty here.

“A detailed decor!”

Organization is your thing, and there's no room for improvisation. You already know where the tree will stand, how many reindeer figurines will go on the table and how many candles you need. For colors, you stick to neutrals, grey and beige, which go with everything, and to your favorite materials, aluminum and bronze.

My tip: let one single detail slip. A mismatched bauble hung by a child, for example: you'll see, it's the one everyone notices.

“A balanced decor!”

Venus loves the shimmering colors of autumn, copper and golden tones. You transform your home in your image: elegant, harmonious, never flashy, with a lovely symmetry that soothes the eye. And since you love bringing people together, the canapés, the petits fours and the Yule log are as much a part of the decor as the garlands.

My tip: go for velvet bows, this winter's trend. They were made for you: refined, easy to match, impossible to get wrong.

“A mysterious decor!”

Your rather dark interior dresses up in intense colors, the colors of passion: purple, ruby red, deep velvet. Pluto approves. But so that your guests feel at home throughout the holidays, multiply the candles and little lights: a warm chiaroscuro rather than a crypt.

My tip: burgundy is the color of the winter, make the most of it. And Christmas is the right time to be a little less secretive with your loved ones: share, it won't cost you a thing.

“A woodsy decor!”

Reindeer are bound to show up at your place, Centaur of the zodiac. The little wooden churches and houses from Christmas markets look wonderful in your warm interior. Your big table welcomes quinces, pears and plenty of dishes: with Jupiter, everything has to be generous.

My tip: bring back a decoration from a Christmas market you've never been to. Traveling, even an hour from home, is your way of celebrating Christmas.

“A rustic decor!”

You draw inspiration from cold December nights: dark, leaden tones and charcoal stones like onyx. If you're lucky enough to have a stone wall, show it off with gifts or a few ornaments. Saturn, your planet, loves restraint: it's all about understatement, in a hushed atmosphere.

My tip: wrap your gifts in kraft paper and string. Simple, chic, and you can reuse it next year: your practical side will approve.

“An eccentric decor!”

Uranus gives you a free, unconventional spirit, and nothing is too good to welcome your friends. Hang angels from airy mobiles, like guardians watching over your guests, and create a true festival of lights: garlands, candles, glittering electric stars. All in midnight blue tones, like a sky streaked with lightning.

My tip: a tree like no other, made of branches, stacked books or hung from the ceiling. Your guests will still be talking about it in spring.

“An artistic decor!”

You have a thousand ideas and wonder whether everyone will like them: don't worry, your intuition won't let you down. Create an intimate, gentle atmosphere, perfect for heart-to-hearts. Play up the mystery with deep blue and violet, or the aquatic world so dear to Neptune, with a small indoor fountain and flowing sheer curtains.

My tip: a mellow playlist and dimmed lights will do more for the atmosphere than ten boxes of decorations.
