Gabriel, archangel of creation
The archangel Gabriel is one of the best-known, as it was he who, in the Bible, announced the birth of Jesus. That's why he's nicknamed "the Messenger". In the Koran, he is the one who reveals the verses to Muhammad. More than a messenger, he is the interpreter of the divine word. As a messenger, he also watches over all those whose role it is to convey a message: writers, teachers, journalists and artists. Archangel of purity, power and authority, peace, purification and fertility, he is often depicted with a specter, an olive branch and a lily, which he points skyward, the lily representing purity and virginity (remember that Gabriel is linked to the immaculate conception).
What is Gabriel's role? What powers does Gabriel have?
As patron saint of artists and creators, he acts as a guide when inspiration fails, but he also helps everyone find their way. He gives confidence to those who need to express themselves, he gives us a voice or helps us to say clearly what we feel.
Given the role he played with Mary and Joseph, he is also a privileged confidant for parents and parents-to-be. Those looking to expand their family, struggling to conceive or in the process of adoption, can call on Gabriel 🙏. He is the archangel of fertility, and as such, he protects children and also enables each one to return to their mother. He can bring about family reunions.
