To choose a wedding date, electional astrology (the art of choosing the right moment) looks at four things. The Moon should be waxing, between the New and the Full Moon: what begins under a waxing Moon grows. Mercury shouldn't be retrograde, since you're signing a contract. Mars should be moving forward, so the project moves forward too. And eclipses are kept at a distance, three days before and three days after. Finally, the little extra that changes everything: Venus, the planet of love, supported by Jupiter (happiness) or Saturn (commitment).
In 2027, that adds up to 110 green-light days, including 16 Saturdays. The year starts slowly: Mars is retrograde from January 10 to April 1, and Mercury three times (for details, see the retrograde planets). The peak comes in May, around Saturday, May 8.
