Are the Cups of the Egyptian tarot the same as those of the Tarot of Marseille?
They are very close: the same Latin suits, the same split into 10 numeral cards and 4 court cards. Two differences count: the continuous numbering (36 to 49 instead of Ace to King) and the printed keywords on every card, specific to the Etteilla tradition. Those keywords were written in French and their exact wording varies from one edition of the deck to another.
