The fifty-seventh and last card of the Oracle of the Triad, Omega holds a place that is no accident: it closes the deck, and it speaks of closing.
It announces the end of a stage — not of a life, nor even of a whole cycle as Death (54) does: a stage, that is a segment that ends and calls for the next.
Hence its advice, unique in the deck: take stock before setting off again. Do not launch straight on without having measured what the stage produced.

Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, omega the last. The Oracle of the Triad therefore opens on Alpha and closes on Omega: hence its nickname, «the Alpha and Omega of divinatory tarots».
