On November 1, 2026, the clocks fall back and the sun sets in New York at 4:52 p.m.; by November 30, at 4:29 p.m. In one month the day loses 56 minutes of light, and it keeps shrinking until the solstice on December 21. Add the days of remembrance and a low sky that never quite lifts, and you have the November blues.
When fall began, I shared 4 stones to keep you moving as the days get darker. November asks for something else: not a fresh start, but a gentle way to hold on. Here are four different crystals, one for each side of these blues. Which one feels like you?
Labradorite 🌌
For gray skies: finding the light.
Jet 🖤
For the days of remembrance: carrying memories.
Lepidolite 💜
For long evenings: calming the mind.
Topaz 🧡
Until the solstice: staying warm.

November Blues: Why Does This Month Feel So Heavy? 🍂
Because November piles up. There's the light slipping away, and there's the calendar: All Saints' Day on the 1st, All Souls' Day on the 2nd, Día de los Muertos for many families, and suddenly we're facing the ones who are gone, saying out loud names we usually keep to ourselves.
The Sun, meanwhile, stays in Scorpio until November 22: in astrological tradition, the water sign of endings and rebirths, the season when what needs to fall falls, like the leaves. The November blues aren't a character flaw, they're an inner season.
👉 A crystal can keep you company, it can't heal you: if the blues settle in and weigh on your days, talk to a doctor.
