Jupiter Retrograde in Leo: Why This Phase Invites You to Shine Differently

This retrograde takes place entirely in Leo, a fire sign ruled by the Sun: it loves to shine, create and be seen. Here, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and luck, takes on a more reasonable, more introverted, more discreet side: it reminds us that we can shine authentically, without artifice, and it helps us find our limits. And since Mars goes retrograde in turn from January 10 to April 1, 2027, before returning to Leo on February 21, the grand gestures are put on pause. But this phase also has a real purpose: reassessing your ambitions, by asking yourself the right questions:

Don't worry: Jupiter doesn't really move backward 😉. The planets always orbit the Sun in the same direction. But we watch them from Earth, which is moving too, and that creates an optical illusion. With Jupiter, we are the ones overtaking. It takes almost twelve years to go around the Sun, while we complete our lap in one. Every year, Earth catches up with it and passes it on the inside, and during that pass, it seems to slip backward. The heart of the retrograde falls when Earth passes exactly between Jupiter and the Sun: this time, on February 10, 2027.

Jupiter never backs up alone. On November 16, deep in the shadow period, Mars joins it in Leo: a burst of momentum to channel before the stop.
