Career tarot: pick a card to light up your next decision

There is a decision you have been pushing to tomorrow for three weeks now. You have talked it over with two colleagues, with your partner, maybe with your bank. Everyone has an opinion, and none of them is yours. Tarot will not decide for you. What it will do is name the thing you keep looking at without seeing.

It almost always announces that there is no wrong option. Both roads lead somewhere livable. That is lighter news than it sounds, because the fear that has been freezing you for three weeks assumes one of the doors opens onto a void. That is not what this card says.

The trap of The Lovers

The Lovers is also the card of the choice made to please. The one you take because your manager expects it, because your partner would be disappointed, because saying no would look ungrateful. A decision made to spare someone else's feelings always comes back with interest, about eighteen months later.

It announces that you already have the skills. Genuinely. What you are missing is not one more certificate, it is a first client, a first send, a first time. The Magician is the most encouraging card in the deck for anyone who wants to start, because it moves the question from "am I ready" to "what can I actually do by Thursday".

The trap of The Magician

The Magician is also a showman. He can sell before he can deliver. If your project currently exists as a beautiful deck and not yet as a single delivered piece of work, this card is warning you: opening enthusiasm will not replace the six months of craft that come after. Start small, and above all, do not promise big.

The trap of The Wheel

The Wheel is a procrastinator's paradise. "It is not the right time" is the most elegant excuse there is, and it can be recycled indefinitely. If you pull this card for the third time on the same question, it is no longer the calendar holding you back. Can a card predict that I will be laid off?

No. No tarot card knows your contract, your notice period or your employer's accounts. A card can describe an unstable climate; it cannot date an administrative event. For that, an employment lawyer or a union representative will serve you infinitely better than a deck of cards.

What this reading does not tell you 🚧

It is worth being blunt here, because this is the limit people cross most often. A card does not know your bank balance, does not read your employment contract and has no idea what your leadership team intends. It describes a dynamic, not a file.
