A little over three months of 2026 are left, and this is exactly when people start asking what they did with the year. Numerology answers that differently from an end-of-year review: it tells you which personal year you are crossing, and what that number expects of you between now and December. The calculation takes twenty seconds, it depends only on your birth date, and it changes the whole reading of the last quarter — a personal year 8 and a personal year 9 do not end 2026 the same way, or with the same moves.
The rule fits on one line: day of birth + month of birth + the current universal year, reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9. Your birth year does not enter the calculation — that is the most common mistake, and it shifts everyone by a whole cycle.
The universal year is the same for all of us: 2026 gives 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1. So we are crossing a universal year 1, a year of openings — which the yearly numerology predictions cover in their own right.
One worked example, taken all the way, because a half-described calculation is useless. Take a birth on March 14: the day 14 reduces to 1 + 4 = 5, March is month 3, the universal year is 1. Add them: 5 + 3 + 1 = 9. Personal year 9. A second one, a birth on November 28: 2 + 8 = 10 → 1 for the day, 1 + 1 = 2 for the month, plus 1 for the universal year: 1 + 2 + 1 = 4. Personal year 4.
What about master numbers? For the personal year, you always reduce down to 1-9. The personal year cycle has nine steps, not eleven: an intermediate total of 11 or 22 reads as a particular intensity of step 2 or step 4, not as an extra position. It is a convention, it is stable, and it stops people believing they are outside the cycle — which is the surest way to miss what the cycle is offering.

Find your number in the first column. The last column is the only one that really matters between now and December 31: it is what your year expects of you at the close, and it is rarely what it expected in spring.
| Personal year | What it governs | What is at stake before December |
| 1 | Momentum, initiative, sowing | Consolidate what you started, don’t start anything else |
| 2 | Patience, bonds, ripening | Get the answer you have been waiting on since spring |
| 3 | Expression, visibility, lightness | Turn visibility into a contract, not into noise |
| 4 | Building, method, effort | Finish the build before it becomes a lifestyle |
| 5 | Movement, surprise, freedom | Pick one of the open doors and close the others |
| 6 | Responsibility, home, commitment | Draw a line where you have given too much |
| 7 | Withdrawal, study, inner clarity | Leave the retreat with a decision, not a theory |
| 8 | Power, money, harvest | Collect, negotiate, sign — this is the window |
| 9 | Reckoning, completion, letting go | Settle, sort, clear space for the 1 year |

The personal year gives you the climate of twelve months. The personal month gives you the weather of thirty days, and it is what makes the last quarter readable. The rule: personal year + month number, reduced. October is 10, November 11, December 12.
One note that saves a classic hesitation: some schools reduce the month first (10 → 1, 11 → 2, 12 → 3) before adding. Both methods give exactly the same result, because a gap of 9 never changes a digital root. So calculate whichever way feels natural.
Example with a personal year 5: October gives 5 + 10 = 15 → 6, November 5 + 11 = 16 → 7, December 5 + 12 = 17 → 8. The quarter then reads 6 then 7 then 8: you recentre on your people, you step back, you collect. Here is the full table.
| Personal year | October | November | December |
| 1 | Month 2 | Month 3 | Month 4 |
| 2 | Month 3 | Month 4 | Month 5 |
| 3 | Month 4 | Month 5 | Month 6 |
| 4 | Month 5 | Month 6 | Month 7 |
| 5 | Month 6 | Month 7 | Month 8 |
| 6 | Month 7 | Month 8 | Month 9 |
| 7 | Month 8 | Month 9 | Month 1 |
| 8 | Month 9 | Month 1 | Month 2 |
| 9 | Month 1 | Month 2 | Month 3 |

✨ Numerology & Tarot Draw ✨
Let's combine these two powerful arts to take a more precise look into your love life.
Each section says three things: what the year has asked of you so far, what the three remaining personal months add to it, and the one move that makes the end of the year pay. Read yours, then perhaps the next one along — it starts in January.
2026 asked you to sow, and a universal year 1 doubled that instruction: you have probably started more things than usual. The end-of-year risk sits exactly there — the momentum of the 1 does not know how to stop on its own.
Your three months: October as a 2 brings other people back into the equation (you negotiate, you partner up), November as a 3 makes what you do visible, December as a 4 demands structure. The trajectory is clear: from launch towards frame.
Your move: pick the project you started this year that has moved furthest, and fund only that one until December 31. A 1 that scatters in December starts its year 2 with four open sites and no foundations.
Year 2 is a year of active waiting, and it has been a long one. What the number 2 governs — patience, bonds, ripening — produces nothing visible for months, and then produces everything at once.
Your three months: October as a 3 loosens tongues and brings back some lightness, November as a 4 puts things in order, December as a 5 accelerates sharply. It is often in December that a year 2 gets what it has been waiting for since spring.
Your move: follow up once, in writing, on the file that is dragging — and give it a date. The 2 is excellent at waiting and hates asking; this end of year rewards the asking, not more waiting.
The 3 has made you visible: meetings, offers, conversations. A year 3 produces a great many opportunities and very few decisions, and that is its structural weakness far more than its lightness.
Your three months: October as a 4 asks for something concrete and methodical, November as a 5 shakes things and moves the lines, December as a 6 brings you back to commitments and to your people.
Your move: take the best opportunity of the year and turn it into a dated commitment before December. A year 3 that ends without signing anything leaves the memory of a pleasant year and an unchanged bank balance.
Year 4 works. The number 4 builds, structures, repeats — and end-of-year exhaustion is its classic symptom, because a 4 cannot recognise that a thing is done.
Your three months: October as a 5 brings movement and a little air, November as a 6 pulls you back towards your own people, December as a 7 invites you to withdraw. The quarter loosens the vice gradually.
Your move: declare finished, out loud and in front of a witness, the build that is 90 % done. The remaining 10 % is almost never work: it is difficulty letting go.
The 5 has shaken the year: a move, a new role, new people, surprises. A year 5 generally leaves more options open than anyone can honour, and the end of the year arrives with the bill for that generosity.
Your three months: October as a 6 brings you back to the commitments you made, November as a 7 forces a reckoning with yourself, December as a 8 is a month of concrete results.
Your move: write the list of options you are keeping “just in case”, and cross out half of them. A December in 8 pays for what is decided, never for what remains under consideration.
Year 6 has revolved around other people: family, partner, responsibilities, care. What the number 6 asks is fair, and it is also why one ends the year emptied without knowing quite of what.
Your three months: October as a 7 returns you to yourself, November as a 8 talks money and power, December as a 9 closes an entire relational cycle.
Your move: say no once to the thing you accept out of habit. December in a year 6 closes a relational door anyway; you may as well be the one choosing which.
The 7 is a year of stepping back: you read, you observe, you understand, you decide little. It is a precious and frustrating year, and its trap is mistaking lucidity for action.
Your three months: October as a 8 puts the concrete and the money back on the table, November as a 9 settles what needs settling, December as a 1 already opens — it is a month 1, the first breath of the next cycle.
Your move: turn exactly one of the things you understood this year into a dated decision. A year 7 that leads to nothing becomes a blank year, which is a waste of everything it saw correctly.
Year 8 is the harvest — money, power, recognition. The number 8 does not reward intention: it rewards what gets negotiated, invoiced, signed.
Your three months: October as a 9 closes a file, November as a 1 opens a fresh track (a month 1), December as a 2 calls for patience and negotiation. October is the most useful of the three.
Your move: ask for the number you don’t dare ask for, in October rather than December. A year 8 that lets its last quarter slip waits nine years for the next one.
The 9 closes a nine-year cycle. It is not a launching year: it is a sorting year, and anything started there out of impatience gets paid for the year after.
Your three months: October as a 1 is already a month 1 — the urge to leave gets strong — November as a 2 slows down and asks for allies, December as a 3 lightens things and gets people talking.
Your move: finish three things before starting one. Your January opens a personal year 1; the 9-year cycle explains why that handover plays out in December more than in January.
Your personal year borrows its character from the number carrying it. Here is the page for each: that is where you see why a year 4 exhausts and why a year 5 scatters.
The question comes up with every calculation, and the answer is simpler than people fear. For the personal year, you reduce: 11 becomes 2, 22 becomes 4. The personal year cycle has nine positions, and an eleventh step does not exist.
What the intermediate total adds is a shade of reading. A personal year 2 obtained through 11 is often lived more intensely than a 2 obtained through 20: the waiting is more charged, the intuitions sharper, the nervous fatigue more real. It is a colour, not a position.
Master numbers do keep their full meaning elsewhere — on the life path in particular, where they are not reduced. If the subject interests you, the birth day number and your life mission tackles it head on, and it is a different calculation from this one.
One thing end-of-year reviews miss: in numerology, the personal year does not flip at midnight on December 31. It gets prepared across the whole last quarter, and many practitioners place the real handover around the birthday rather than around New Year’s Eve.
In practice that means your last three personal months are already tinted by what comes next. It is especially visible for personal years 7, 8 and 9, where one of the three months lands on a month 1 — the first breath of the cycle after.
The nine-year cycle gives the wide view, and the autumn life path reading covers the seasonal vibration, which is collective and layers over your personal number. The two readings do not contradict each other: one is the climate, the other is your weather.
A number is not a forecast. The personal year describes a kind of season, not events. A year 8 guarantees no money coming in; it says the year’s energy suits negotiation, and that letting those chances pass costs more than usual.
Nor does it read alone. The life path, the expression number, the actual context — a move, a birth, a redundancy — weigh at least as much. A numerologist crosses those planes; a web page cannot.
And none of it replaces a decision made consciously. If your number says settle and your situation says hold on, your situation is right. Numerology lights up a calendar; it does not command it.
Add your day of birth, your month of birth and the current universal year, then reduce to a single digit from 1 to 9. In 2026 the universal year is 1 (2+0+2+6 = 10, then 1+0 = 1). Example for a birth on March 14: 5 (day) + 3 (month) + 1 = 9, so personal year 9. Your birth year never enters this calculation.
Both schools exist. The more common one flips the personal year on January 1, which makes comparisons between people simple. A second school flips it on the birthday, which matches many clients’ felt experience better. In practice the last quarter is a transition zone either way: that is why October to December already reads with one foot in the next cycle.
The personal month refines the personal year down to thirty days. You get it by adding the personal year and the month number, then reducing. For a personal year 5, October gives 5 + 10 = 15 → 6. Its main use is knowing when to act: two months inside the same personal year can call for opposite moves.
No, you reduce: 11 becomes 2 and 22 becomes 4. The personal year cycle has nine positions. The intermediate total adds a shade of intensity to the reading, but it does not create an extra position. Master numbers do keep their full value on the life path, which is a different calculation.
The 1, by a long way, because it opens the nine-year cycle. The 8 suits projects that need to pay quickly. The 9 is the one where finishing beats starting: what you launch there out of impatience gets paid for the following year. That said, a good idea in a year 9 is still a good idea — you prepare it in December and launch it in January.
Yes, if they were born on the same day and month — the birth year does not enter the calculation. So they share the same annual climate, but not the same life path or expression number, which depend on the birth year and the name. That is why two people in personal year 8 can have very different last quarters.
A number has never closed a file or signed a contract on anyone’s behalf. What your personal year says about this last quarter of 2026 is which kind of move will be best paid between now and December — not what is going to happen to you. A year 8 that asks for nothing collects nothing; a year 9 that starts four projects begins 2027 out of breath. The calendar proposes, you decide, and that is exactly as it should be.
If you take only one thing from this: calculate your number, read the December line in the months table, and make the matching move before the holidays. Three months, on the scale of a nine-year cycle, is short. On the scale of one decision, it is still very wide. ✨
Editor’s Note: One Line of the Table, One MoveDon’t try to catch up twelve months in twelve weeks. Take the December cell that matches your number, and make the move it describes. One move. That is the difference between an end of year you endure and an end of year that sets up the next one. Torn between two readings, or your number doesn’t speak to you? That is common, and it usually means the personal year needs crossing with your life path. Our numerologists do that crossing in a few minutes. |
