According to psychotherapist George Roomey, seeing a person who died shows the clear link between these two worlds; that of the living and the dead. Indeed, the ghost is there to remind you that you are alive and well, and that you should take advantage of it.
Not that it's time to sever ties with that person or to forget them... but you have to draw a line under what they mean to you, on an unconscious level. For example, if you dream of losing your mother while she's still very much alive, that means you cut the cord and end all forms of dependency.
