Why are four-leaf clovers so lucky?
They are said to protect against forces of evil
According to a legend, this good fortune comes directly from Eve. When Adam and Eve were living in paradise, Eve have picked a four-leaf clover as a souvenir, and this religious connotation would have lent it its particularity as a good luck charm. The Celts gave four-leaf clovers magical powers of protection against evil and bad luck. It was also believed that holding one allowed to see fairies. Celtic fairies were dangerous little beings, capable of playing deadly tricks and stealing your children. Wearing a four-leaf clover was a way to avoid them.
They are a rare species
The 4-leaf clover is a very rare mutation. So rare that there is only a one in 10,000 chance of finding one. Its rarity is probably one of the factors that explains why it is considered a good luck charm. Typically, clovers only have 3 leaves, which each represent faith, love and hope. The fourth leaf is therefore associated with luck.

Here are the interpretations of the 4 leaves
According to the Christian tradition, the clover is reminiscent of the Cross. It is also a reminder that Eve was taken before being driven out of paradise, so this clover is said to remind her of the life she had lost.

According to another legend, pagan this time, each leaf has a meaning. The first is for fame, the second for wealth, the third for love and the fourth for health. So, now we understand why it is so much sought after!
