Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, known as Baba Vanga, “Grandma Vanga,” was born in 1911 and lost her sight at twelve, in a storm that filled her eyes with sand. That, the story goes, is when her gift awakened. In Petrich, Bulgaria, she received villagers and Soviet-bloc leaders alike for decades, until her death in 1996. She wrote almost nothing down: her visions reach us through her niece and her followers.

Since late summer 2026, her followers and the press have been sharing four visions for 2027. Here is what they announce, and the echo they already find in the news.
An unknown disease, or a genetic experiment, would leave some of those it touches with “superhuman” abilities.
More strength, more intelligence, extraordinary resistance? The vision doesn't say. Sky History sees a nod to her own story: a trial that gives birth to a gift. And the echo is striking: medicine is already rewriting our genes. More than 250 gene-editing trials have been launched worldwide, and US regulators are due to rule in March 2027 on a CRISPR treatment given directly inside the patient's body.

The price of gold would climb 25 to 40% in 2027, against a backdrop of a cash crisis.
The precious metal hit an all-time high of about $5,590 an ounce on January 28, 2026, before falling back toward $4,180 in mid-October. A 25 to 40% rise would therefore bring it right back to its peak, or beyond. Sky History notes that experts' outlooks are mixed: a vision is not investment advice, but it speaks of a need for safe havens.

At the start of 2027, Vladimir Putin would no longer be at the head of Russia.
This is the vision that gets people talking the most. No successor has been named in the Kremlin, but the question is open: in September 2026, the Washington Post listed seven men who could take over, almost all from a new generation. Sky History points out that such a change would have repercussions on the war in Ukraine.

Humanity would discover a new source of energy.
The vision targets 2028, but 2027 would be the year everything is prepared, and Sky History thinks of nuclear fusion. An unsettling coincidence: in the United States, the SPARC fusion reactor is aiming for its first plasma precisely in 2027, with an electricity demonstration planned around 2030.

Gifts revealed, a safe haven that reassures, power changing hands, an energy being invented: for 2027, Baba Vanga announces transformations more than catastrophes.
