Origins and history: The stone of Eros and Aphrodite
Since ancient times, rose quartz stone has been associated with love. It all began in Greek mythology, when this stone was said to have been born from the hands of Aphrodite. During a hunting party, Adonis, her lover, was attacked by a boar. Wanting to save him, Aphrodite intervened, but was stopped by bramble bushes. The goddess of love then found her beloved dead, and from her blood appeared the pink quartz stone.
Another legend tells us that Eros, god of love and creation, brought the rose quartz to Earth so that the men who possess it would advocate love and not hate. Later in Ancient Egypt, the pink quartz stone was exploited for its physical virtues, it allowed to fight against aging. It was thus offered at the time of the deaths, and one found some in the tombs of the noble families.
Today, this mineral is still used, both for its beautiful appearance and its properties, in industry, watchmaking, or jewelry.
There is a lot of jewelry made of rose quartz, especially necklaces. Placed near the heart, it acts directly at the level of the plexus!
