Menadel is the 36th sacred name of the Shem HaMephorash — the 72 divine names drawn by the kabbalists from the three verses of Exodus (XIV, 19-21). His Hebrew name מְנַדְאֵל translates literally as "adorable God", the One celebrated through the dignity of labour. The traditional call taken from the Psalms is: "I love the house where you dwell, the place where your glory abides." (Psalm 26, v.8).
Menadel belongs to the choir of the Powers — the angels of inner strength and courage, placed under the authority of the Sephirah Gevurah and linked to the planet Mars.
