Although we are in a period of great uncertainty, nothing is impossible! Life is full of surprises, we just have to know how to make the most of them and dare to make a change in order to succeed, whilst accepting the risk of failure.
If you don’t do anything, nothing will change for you, which is why you need to be alert and ready at all times. The latest unemployment figures aren’t great and we surely all know someone who has unfortunately lost their job or who is unhappy at work.

Stay motivated and put things into perspective
You’re certainly not the only person in this position, there are millions of other people like you, who are unhappy at work or have unfortunately lost their jobs. If you are looking for a new job, use your network, perhaps one of your friends has an opening in their company?
Do you feel as if your qualifications are useless? Yes, it frustrating but tell yourself that the job wasn’t made for you, but you’ll find something else that is tailored for you! Don’t lose hope after not receiving call-backs and continue to work on your interview technique. Think about your latest interviews, are there any reasons you can think off as to why you weren’t offered the job?
So, you’ve just got the call saying the company wants to meet you in person and you’re no doubt feeling a little stressed out! First and foremost, calm down, this is your chance to change your life! You have a big chance of impressing them and getting the job, you have absolutely nothing to lose, so start practicing your smile and believe in yourself and what you have to offer!
Keep in mind that an interview is just an exchange, just like a normal conversation. The purpose is to check you meet the job requirements and to verify that the salary is adequate for you, that you can work in a team and that you can take direction. On the one hand, you are also interviewing them, by asking them questions about the position available. Don’t forget that you are there because they are interested in your profile, you are definitely in with a chance! Be confident in your CV and in your abilities.

Do you dread waking up in the mornings? Do you not get on with your coworkers or bosses? Do you spend most of the day staring at the clock? These are all signs that your job is no longer for you! If you stay in a job that you don’t like, you will never having the feeling of professional accomplishment.
Focus on the positive side of things, you’ll eventually find a new job, with a good salary! Things will eventually turn around, but you need to do everything you can to change your situation, in your spare time, get online and search for jobs, don’t waste a minute! When you eventually find a new job, don’t have second thoughts resign and seize this new opportunity with both hands.
