New Moon June: What is the annual solar eclipse and what happens during it?
A solar eclipse appears when the Moon is placed in front of the Sun, either totally or partially occulting the image of the Sun from the Earth. The annular solar eclipse is a particular case of partial eclipse where the three "objects" concerned are perfectly aligned, but where the one eclipsing is too small (or the eclipsed object is too big!): a ring of light is then still visible! In this case, the Moon cannot completely eclipse the Sun because it’s not close enough to the Earth at the time of the eclipse.
Astrologically speaking, a solar eclipse acts like a powerful New Moon. Here we find the notion of birth and new beginnings. Everything we sow will be important and will have a great impact on the future; sometimes even in the next 6 months! This powerful eclipse can upset us emotionally. Our frustrations will appear and show us what we need to change, in order to get closer to our deepest aspirations.

New Moon in Cancer: Tornado of emotions
Under this New Moon in Cancer, we are looking for protection, gentleness and tenderness. Our alone time will become sacred and will help us become more creative. The New Moon in Cancer can also push us to undertake a project for a loved one. The Moon is poorly connected to Mars, which exacerbates sensitivities. This means we need to avoid being immature and entering conflict. Instead, we should focus on the well-being of our family.
This New Moon is also staggered in comparison to Saturn’s position. Along with the solar eclipse, this event will also simultaneously bring about the retrograde phase of 5 planets. Mercury retrograde will causes delays and misunderstandings, Venus will cause havoc on our emotions, Saturn will point out our shortcomings. And, Jupiter will make us less jovial and Pluto will bring us back to what’s important.
